The iTnews Benchmark Awards have been celebrating Australian IT leaders from across the country for over a decade.

This year for the first time we will be launching the inaugural Benchmark Awards: Security, a conference and awards program celebrating leadership in cyber security from a cross section of Australian businesses..

CISO, CSOs and senior cyber security leaders will be awarded for leading their security teams in end user organisations, and for their work in driving effective cyber programs.

The 2024 Benchmark Security Awards will be presented at a Gala Dinner and conference on the 16th October at Shangri-La Hotel, The Rocks, Sydney

Finalists in each category are chosen by the iTnews award-winning editorial team and expert advisors.

Event sponsors have no involvement whatsoever in the judging process.

The awards finalists are selected on the following criteria:

• Innovation and new ground forged
• Challenges overcome in last 12 months
• Utilisation of resources including talent
• Approach to people management and culture fostered in the team and in the broader organisation
